Confessions of a Mixologist: Quarantinis Vol. 5 - Quarantikis

The Quarantini Chronicles heads to warmer climates on this week's Barrel to Bottle episode. Roger has put together some recipes that don't require 15 ingredients, for these quarantine times. Make them as is, or come up with your own riff using the ingredients you have on hand.

ROGER's ANCIENT MARINER RIFF

INGREDIENTS:

SIMPLE STEPS:

Shake with ice, pour unstrained into tiki mug or Pina Colada coup. Top any empty space with fresh crushed ice. Garnish with lime wheel and fresh mint.

 

PAT's DAIQUIRI

INGREDIENTS:

 

CHRIS's DAIQUIRI

INGREDIENTS:

SIMPLE STEPS:

Serve up or pour over shaved/crushed ice.

 

GREG's CAIPIRINHA

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz Cachaça
  • 3/4 oz Fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz Simple syrup

SIMPLE STEPS:

Build over ice in cocktail shaker. Serve up or over ice.

 

PAT'S CORN & OIL

INGREDIENTS:

SIMPLE STEPS:

Build in a glass over ice and stir (with a pen if you’d like).

 

CHRIS' PAINKILLER

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz Pusser's Naval Rum
  • 4 oz Pineapple juice
  • 1 oz Orange juice
  • 1 oz Coconut cream
  • Fresh grated nutmeg

SIMPLE STEPS:

Build over ice in cocktail shaker. Serve up or over ice. Grate nutmeg on top. Substitute any aged rum for Pusser's. Substitute egg nog for rum to make a Noggy Dollar.

 

GREG's JUNGLE BIRD

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 oz Hamilton 151
  • 1/2 oz Campari
  • 1 1/2 oz Pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
  • A skosh of Simple syrup

SIMPLE STEPS:

Build over ice in cocktail shaker. Strain and serve up with a garnish of a giant slice of pineapple, all the Maraschino cherries, your kid's entire Barrel of Monkeys and the top of a pineapple. Substitute any aged Rhum Agricole for Hamilton 151.

 

ROGER'S DAIQUIRI

INGREDIENTS:

SIMPLE STEPS:

Shake with ice, serve up.
