Binny's is on pace to add over 4,000 new wines this year. That means some bottles fly under the radar. This week we've put together a sampling of new wines worth checking out.

This week the Women of Binny’s got together to explore the art of wine and food pairing. Together we prepped, cooked, and paired Spanish tapas with Spanish wines. Eggs are virtually indispensable in kitchens the world over. Very few cuisines eschew the versatility of the humble egg and its myriad delights. Shakshuka is a popular dish in North Africa and the Middle East and has recently become a favorite at hip restaurants in the US.

This recipe was inspired, not just by Danish Kringle itself but the fantastic Bourbon Barrel Aged Pecan Kringle Stout from Wisconsin’s own Central Waters Brewing Company. It’s a massive brew of sweet, layered, spirited, complexity that speaks of praline, maple, vanilla, and sweet brown spices. Our Bourbon Pecan Kringle follows suit making for a heavenly if decadently over the top pairing.

We have been playing around with all kinds of tomato recipes, including the cheese and mayo laden southern classic, tomato pie. It’s great but today we decided to throw together a goat cheese and tomato tart with ingredients we had on hand and must say we are pretty pleased with what we pulled out of the oven. It’s almost like we know what we’re doing.
