Christmas on Cape Cod Holiday Highball
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Binny's Small Batch Vodka or other Vodka
- 1/4 oz. St Elizabeth Allspice Dram
- 1 oz. Orange juice, fresh squeezed
- 3-4 oz. Q Cranberry Pomegranate Spritz
- Garnish: 3 Oh Snap! Cranberry Sweeties, rosemary sprig or lime wheel
How to make
- Fill a highball or wine glass with ice. Add vodka, allspice dram and orange juice.
- Top with Q Cranberry Pomegranate Spritz, stir briefly just to combine.
- Garnish with Oh Snap! Cranberries Sweeties and a rosemary sprig, a lime wheel or both. You can put the cranberries on a pick, strip some lower leaves off the rosemary sprig using the woody stem as a pick or just plop them in.

Q - Do you like my new Cranberry Pomegranate Spritz flavor?
A - Well, I'm vodka so, I like to mix and mingle with any of your flavors. But yes, Cran-Pom Spritz is tart, bright and delicious.
Q - Oh that’s sweet, we should hang out sometime! Do you want to hang out sometime?!
A - Yeah, I would love to. The holidays are coming, and I’m scheduled to make an appearance at, like, every party. You should join me.
Q - I would love to! Do you think I'll play well with all of your friends?
A - Of course! My buddies, bourbon, gin, tequila- the whole gang loves you.
Q - Are we going as a couple? Should I bring my alter egos, tonic, soda, ginger...?
A - Yeah bring your friends but let’s go as a couple. We can get together in a Christmas in Cape Cod Holiday Highball if you like.
Q - What's that?
A - It's a riff on a riff of the classic cranberry and vodka drink, the Cape Codder. You know, if you start there, then you can make a Sea Breeze (add grapefruit juice), A Bay Breeze (add pineapple juice), add your friend club soda for a Rose Kennedy, the list goes on. Sex on the Beach anyone? If orange juice is added it's known as a Madras, but I like the ring of Christmas on Cape Cod.
Q - Do I hear sleighbells? Okay, so it's a riff on the Madras, but what makes this one a holiday highball?
A - Well I'm thinking of adding a little allspice dram for the sweet, holiday spice notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove... you know, allspice. Plus, you are festively fizzy! We could even add a third by mixing in some Q ginger beer for extra holiday zing and perhaps involve some Oh Snap! Cranberry Sweeties and maybe a lime wheel or rosemary sprig for that red and green holiday flair.
Q - Wow! Sounds fun and delicious! Ginger is always up for a thrill. We could make up other holiday riffs too- The Arctic Breeze, Sex in the Snow??? If that’s the case, you won’t mind if I try mixing with some of your spirited friends, will you?
A - Not at all! The more the merrier!
Q - Well, that answers all my questions except- do you really think we’re a good match?
