"Emits delicate, mildly spicy and grapy fragrances at first; additional time fails to open up any more aromatics. Entry is peppery, spicy, astringent and tangy; midpalate is moderately sweet, grapy, ripe and honeyed towards the finish."

This is the fastest bottle of scotch I have finished in all the years. It was sad to see that last glass left in the bottle....but I had to do it. It's comparable to the Balvenie Carribean Cask. Both are excellent, but the GM costs 30% less.

Middle of the Road

In my eyes, this is a middle of the road port cask for Glenmorangie. It is a color between the sherry cask and the original Glenmorangie. Dark Amber-esque. I prefer the sherry cask of the original but think that the price makes this a B/B- but deserving of more than 3 stars.

Welcome to the Port side.

Color: dark amber. Nose: cherry wood, fruit loops, lacquer. Deep sherry (i.e. port). Taste: oily, grape juice, caramel, and half-and-half. Very smooth. Finish: heavy malt, honey, oats, strawberries, cherry, pear, poblano peppers, bitter berries, and dry oak. Magic. This is the best Glenmorangie I've tried so far.
