Langmeil Cabernet Sauvignon Blacksmith 2014

Size Pack
750 ml
Case of 12

The 2014 vintage was slightly cooler than 2013 in the Barossa, which bodes well for Cabernet. This shows aromatic red currants, bay leaf and sage on the nose, then folds in hints of cinnamon and brown sugar. The oak is in the background, letting the fruit carry the wine, yet building in a rich, velvety texture. Drink now–2030. -Joe Czerwinski, Apr 2017

Brilliant violet. Spice-accented cherry and dark berry aromas show very good energy and subtle floral and herb accents. Juicy dark fruit and spicecake flavors put on weight with air, picking up a smoky tobacco quality on the back half. Finishes on an appealingly sweet note, displaying very good focus and dusty tannins that fade smoothly into the sappy fruit. -Josh Raynolds, Oct 2017
