Details

Gallica’s beautiful 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon has velvety tannins, loads of plum, blackberry and cassis fruit and a floral component. It has a medium to full-bodied personality that would suggest a suave complex wine from a Bordeaux or Margaux appellation. The wine is quite beautiful with purity, richness and an overall charm that make this an endearing effort in 2013. Moreover, it should drink well for another 20+ years. -Robert M Parker, Jr., Dec 2015

This small brand, which debuted with the 2007 vintage, is the personal project of Rosemary Cakebread, formerly winemaker of St Helena's celebrated Spottswoode Estate (1997-2006). Gallica produces a number of different wines, sourced from vineyards all over California, but Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of the cellar. From fruit grown in Oakville's eastern hills, This cuveé (which includes 25% Cabernet Franc) is tiny: in 2013 a mere 249 cases were produced, so it won't be easy to find.

Futures Policy

The minimum order for Wine Futures is 6 bottles per item. You will be notified by e-mail that we received your order. By the next regular business day, you will receive an e-mail confirming available quantities on your order request.

We reserve the right to limit quantities of any item ordered on a Futures request.

When your wine arrives we will contact you to make arrangements for shipping or pick-up. You will be charged for shipping at that time if you choose to have the items delivered. In the event we are unable to contact you within 90 days of receiving your wine, we reserve the right to dispose of the wine and refund the original price you paid, less a 5% service fee.

Any applicable shipping charges and taxes must be paid before the wine can be released for shipment or for in store pick-up. For shipped orders, if you would like to have the wooden crates, they will be shipped separately via Ground Shipment, 2nd Day, or Overnight, and there will be an additional shipping charge.
