Curious about this year’s lineup of Bourbon County Brand Stout? We had a chance to visit the Goose Island Barrel Warehouse to give them a taste and we’re excited to report that Goose brought the thunder in 2023!

This week on Barrel to Bottle, we’re revisiting the 2022 Bourbon County Stout line-up to try the easter egg single-distillery variants and more.

It’s the end of October, which means it’s time to taste some Bourbon County Stout. Our friends at Goose Island were good enough to invite the Barrel to Bottle crew to their Barrel House and taste through the 2022 line-up.

Carbonnade à la Flamande is a Flemish beef stew indigenous to Belgium and the beer centric areas of northeast France. It only makes sense that northern European climes, heretofore unsuitable for the cultivation of wine grapes, would develop a beer-based stew akin to Beef Bourguignon.
