Another IPA from Stone?! Perhaps no other brewery is so inexorably linked to India Pale Ale. For the past 20 years, their aggressively unapologetic passion for hops has made the champions of the IBU and masters of this iconic style. This week we got our first taste of Ghost Hammer, a fresh new IPA featuring a unique new hop.

Stone IPA

Stone Ghost HammerStone Ghost Hammer

Wow, what a nose on this IPA! Loral hops are the star of the show here, imparting a beguiling mix of herbaceous and floral aromas. Smooth across the palate, it delivers some nice lemony citrus and a touch of papaya. The finish is floral and citrusy with just a tiny hint of pepper. As per usual, Stone nails it.

Stone Enjoy By Unfiltered

Enjoy By returns and this time it’s unfiltered. This batch features over ten hops, including a bunch of Southern Hemisphere varieties. On the nose, it’s bright and resinous with big citrus and a touch of tropical fruit. Like Ghost Hammer it’s also smooth on the palate, and an initial touch of malt sweetness is followed by a big blast of citrusy hops. The finish is big and dank with notes of citrus and stone fruit.

Stone Ripper Pale Ale

Need a break from IPA? How about a super crisp and juicy pale ale? Ripper combines American Cascade hops with Australian Galaxy for a big bright west coast style pale ale. On the nose, it’s citrusy and floral with notes of pineapple and nectarine. It finishes crisp and clean with notes of citrus and tropical fruit.

Stone IPA

Don’t forget about the IPA that started it all. One of the most well-respected and best-selling IPAs on the shelf. Citrusy and piney hop aromas and flavors lead to a crisp and clean finish. A classic!   Check out the Beer Buzz for updates on new beer, tastings, sales and more!
