Founded in 2013, Rye River Brewing is located in the small Irish town of Kilcock just outside of Dublin. Their McGargles line of beer represents the return of brewing to Kilcock, a town whose rich brewing history dates as far back as 1595. What excites us about McGargles is their combination of old and new world brewing traditions.

The barley used for Francis' Big Bangin IPA is 100% hand turned floor malted Maris Otter, a more expensive and labor intensive choice that proves their commitment to quality old fashioned craftsmanship. The huge hoppy bouquet and rich tropical flavors are thanks to carefully sourced American hops that undergo the torpedo-ing process, an ingenious new alternative to traditional dry hopping first made famous by California's Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. All proof that Ireland is brewing more than just great stouts, and for that we say Slainte!

McGargles Francis' Big Bangin IPA

This is one of the best examples of an American IPA that we have ever tasted from a brewery on the other side of the pond. True to its name, this IPA is loaded with huge hop flavor with Columbus, Mosaic and Simcoe hops imparting notes of citrus, pine and tropical fruit. IPA lovers everywhere must give this beer a try.
