FAQWhen will the Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout variants be released? Friday, November 28th at all Chicagoland Binny's locations. Will I have to stand in line? Most likely. The lines have grown tremendously over the past few years with the popularity of the product. It'll be limited, so get there early! Insider tip: Head to our Binny's location in Lincoln Park. We're opening our doors at 9am and there will definitely be a line as it is one of the biggest BCBS events in the US. Goose Island will provide coffee, donuts, giveaways and more! Bundle up as the weather forecast is predicting 20s-30s. What can I buy? Depends. Each Binny's location receives a different quantity so we can't promise that you'll get everything you want. Quantities are extremely limited so plan to arrive early! What BCBS variants will be available this year?
Bourbon County Brand StoutThis iconic stout was aged in honor of the 1000th batch at Goose Island's original Clybourn brewpub. The 2014 BCBS has an intense flavor mix of charred oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. Available in 12-ounce bottles.
Bourbon County BarleywineGoose Island's barleywine is aged in third-use Kentucky bourbon barrels. The barrels add an intricate flavor of oak, charcoal, tobacco and vanilla. It matches the subtle flavors of the English style barleywine quite nicely. Available in 12-ounce bottles.
Bourbon County Coffee StoutWe can smell the Intelligentsia already! The 2014 batch of Bourbon County Coffee was brewed with Intelligentsia's Zirikana coffee beans from Rwanda. It creates a rich, dark and malty flavor that will have you wanting more. Available in 12-ounce bottles.
Bourbon County Vanilla Rye StoutVanilla's back and we couldn't be happier. The twist on this year's vanilla is that it was aged in rye whiskey barrels with a mix of Mexican and Madagascar vanilla beans. Did we mention how happy we are that this is back? Available in 22-ounce bottles.
Bourbon County Proprietor'sThe stout sat in rye barrels with cassia bark, cocoa nibs, panela and coconut water. It smells of bourbon and toasted coconut, has immense flavors of bourbon, chocolate and vanilla and finishes with a long linger of bourbon and vanilla. Best part? Goose Island will only release this stout in Chicago to show their immense gratitude to the city and the loyal Goose Island beer drinkers of Chicago (credit hanna source).
