One of our favorite hops to hit the scene in the last few years is the Mosaic hop. A descendant of the Simcoe hop, the Mosaic hop, like its ancestor, is famous for its bright, tropical flavors. Just as a mosaic is built from a multitude of smaller pieces, the Mosaic hop combines a myriad of hop flavors and aromas into one complex little cone – a Mosaic of flavors and aromas that you’ll find in our favorites below.
White IPA?! Light and creamy with a snappy finish, this winter seasonal is only available for a limited time, so make sure to snap some up before it all melts away!
Though bursting with so much bright citrus flavor, no fruit was harmed in the making of this stunning IPA – hard to believe, we know! Proof that the combination of Citra, Mosaic and Nugget makes for one juicy IPA.
A longtime favorite of ours. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – this is so refreshing that it’s hard to believe it’s a Double IPA. Besides Mosaic, Dirtwolf also showcases Citra, Chinook and Simcoe hops, with a finish reminiscent of grapefruit and guava.
It takes a skilled hand to balance lightness in body with the bitterness of an IPA. Dry hopping is key, as it extracts all that wonderful hop bitterness and aroma without all the bitterness. Pinner finds that balance by featuring not only Mosaic but also Citra, El Dorado, and Azzaca – making it fruity, crisp, and dangerously drinkable.
Looking for a solid bomber that won’t break the bank? Clown Shoes Space Cake is one tasty treat bursting with Mosaic goodness. At 9% abv it’s defiantly a double IPA but uses enough malt to remain a balanced brew. Step through the door – the stars look very different today!
