2000 - Guigal Cote Rotie la Landonne
"The 2000 Cote Rotie La Landonne is the most powerful and primordial of the 2000 La La’s, not surprising given this cuvee’s telltale earthy, leathery characteristics that are intermixed with notes of truffles, licorice, blackberries, and pepper. Medium to full-bodied, with moderate tannin and good density, it should hit its prime in 2-3 years, and last for 14-15."

2000 - Guigal Cote Rotie la Mouline
This item is available at select Binny's locations. Please call your local Binny's for availability.
"The 2000 Cote Rotie La Mouline includes 11% Viognier in the final blend. Its deep ruby color is accompanied by sweet aromas of lychee nuts, peaches, black currants, and cherries. Abundant amounts of sweet oak must still be resolved, so 3-4 years of cellaring is suggested. Although somewhat superficial, it is a perfumed, seductive, sensual 2000 to drink between 2007-2019."

2001 - Chapoutier Ermitage le Meal
This item is available at the Grand Ave. Binny's location only.
"Granitic aromas of gunflint, minerals and licorice. Lush, rich and seamless but very backward, with very dark flavors of blackberry, licorice and spice. Less obviously sweet than the extraordinary Pavillon bottling, but this, too, dusts the entire palate. A wine of great structure and power. Explosive, gripping finish." Reviewed by Stephen Tanzer.

2001 - Chave Hermitage Rouge
"A brute right now, with a wall of bacony, coffee-tinged toast separating you from the core of blackberry and raspberry fruit. Great richness and texture here, with notes of tar, minerals, saddle leather and cocoa rippling through the finish. Mouthwatering acidity balances it all."

2001 - Guigal Cote Rotie Chateau d'Ampuis
"Flashy toast up front lets notes of mesquite and incense permeate the dark cherry, blackberry and coffee flavors in this sweet and succulent red, which shows cocoa on the finish."

2001 - Guigal Hermitage Ex Voto
This item is available at the Grand Ave. Binny's location only.
"The debut release of the Hermitage Ex-Voto, the spectacular 2001 spent 42 months in new French oak. Produced from four vineyard sites, l’Hermite, Les Murets, Les Greffieux, and Les Bessards, it boasts an amazingly thick purple color as well as a rich, sumptuous bouquet of smoke, licorice, creme de cassis, and earth. Full-bodied and rich, with good acidity and magnificent concentration, this is a tour de force in red Hermitage. 94-96 pts."
