2010 - Carruades de Lafite Pauillac
Limit 6 Bottles per customer.
"Remarkably tight, offering black currant and sanguine notes laced with sandalwood and roasted fig. This is also tight-grained on the finish and is really long, with the acidity just going on and on. "
Wine Spectator, 93-96 pts.
"Composed of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest mostly Merlot and a dollop of Cabernet Franc, the beautiful 2010 Carruades de Lafite may turn out to be one of the finest yet produced (although I still have a weakness for the brilliant 2003, which is drinking beautifully at present). Notes of charcoal, black currants, sweet cherries, licorice, herbs and cedar are all present in this full-bodied, opulent, stunning second wine. It will be drinkable upon release and should last for 20 or more years." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 91-94 pts.
2009 - Chateau Angelus Saint Emilion
Limit 6 Bottles per customer.
"I tasted this three separate times, and on two occasions I thought it had the potential to be a perfect wine. ...This is a fabulous wine, with that tell-tale, dense, inky blue color that Angelus always seems to achieve. It displays an extraordinary nose of acacia flowers (or is it violets?) intermixed with blueberry liqueur, black raspberries, cassis, licorice, incense, and graphite. Full-bodied, viscous, with great intensity , vibrancy, and transparency, this is one of the all-time great wines from Angelus." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 96-100 pts.
"Concentrated aromas of boysenberry and raspberry jam. Full-bodied and powerful, with beautiful fruit-coated tannins and a long, spicy, rich aftertaste. All there for a top vintage from Angélus."
Wine Spectator, 94-97 pts.

2009 - Chateau Barde Haut Saint Emilion
"A tiny crop of 18 hectoliters per hectare (the result of the mid-May hail damage) lead to an opaque purple-colored, richest, most concentrated, biggest Barde-Haut made to date. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2009 possesses an intense bouquet of mulberries, boysenberries, charcoal, toast, and graphite. Extremely full-bodied, thick, and viscous with good freshness and definition as well as sweet, but high tannins, this beauty can be enjoyed over the next two decades." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 93-95 pts.
"Love the blueberry and mineral character in this young wine. Full-bodied, with silk tannins and a fruity, chocolate and light vanilla cream aftertaste."
Wine Spectator, 89-92 pts.

2009 - Chateau Batailley Pauillac
"Currant and blackberry on the nose, with hints of toasted oak. Full-bodied, with big, chewy tannins. This is the biggest Batailley in years. Lots of improvement here."
Wine Spectator, 92-95 pts.
"The 2009 Batailley should give the 2005 a run for its money. It is a slightly sweeter, richer, softer wine (somewhat atypical for Batailley as it is generally one of the more structured and backward of the Pauillacs) exhibiting a dense purple color as well as notes of smoke, blackberries, cassis, charcoal, and oak. Deep, full-bodied, rich, and already seductive, it should have 25+ years of evolution ahead of it." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 90-92 pts.

2009 - Chateau Beau Sejour Becot Saint Emilion
"Blueberry, licorice and floral aromas follow through to a full body, with a beautiful core of fruit and a long, fine finish. Layered and gorgeous."
Wine Spectator, 93-96 pts.
"The wine has an inky bluish/purple color and a big, powerful nose of raspberry confiture intermixed with crushed rock, licorice, and a very subtle hint of wood. A wine of enormous density, power, full-bodied richness and viscosity, it has good vibrancy and a boatload of tannin, but it is all seamlessly integrated in this colossal effort." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 93-95 pts.

2010 - Chateau Beausejour Duffau Saint Emilion
"Since the wunderkind team of Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt assumed responsibility for this extraordinary vineyard planted on the clay and limestone southern slopes of St.-Emilion, quality has soared. The 2009 (rated 96-98+) was the greatest vintage since the estate’s prodigious 1990 and the 2010 looks to be its equal. Composed of 73% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon made from tiny yields of 21 hectoliters per hectare, the 2010 achieved a remarkably high 15% natural alcohol. However, the high alcohol is completely hidden by the wine’s freshness, high acids and modest pH. A remarkable nose of blueberries, blackberries, crushed chalk, acacia flowers, licorice and truffles is accompanied by an unbelievable minerality on the palate, full-bodied power, amazing texture, a multidimensional personality and a 50+ second finish. One of the most profound wines of the vintage, this 2010 should drink well for 30-35 years or more." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 96-100 pts.
"Ripe and exotic, but focused, with really enticing blueberry, violet, pastis and raspberry aromas and flavors. Lush and long, with lots of range and length."
Wine Spectator, 93-96 pts.

2009 - Chateau Belle Vue Haut Medoc
"Not to be confused with St.-Emilion’s Bellevue, this has been one of the most consistent Medoc cru bourgeois over a number of years, and the 2009 may reach new quality heights. A big-time sleeper of the vintage, this blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 20% Petit Verdot boasts a dense purple color as well as notes of creme de cassis and spring flowers, terrific fruit, sweet but noticeable tannin, and medium to full body. It can be drunk young or cellared for 8-10 years." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 90-92 pts.
"Silky and beautiful, with berry and dark chocolate aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, polished tannins."
Wine Spectator, 88-91 pts.

2009 - Chateau Bernadotte Haut Medoc
"The finest La Bernadotte made to date, this 2009 is an undeniable sleeper of the vintage... It reveals a dense purple color along with a big, sweet kiss of black cherries, black currants, charcoal, and spice. With layers of fruit, decent acidity, freshness, and precision, and an opulent, fleshy, succulent style, it should drink easily for a decade or more." -Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 90-92 pts.
"A solid core of fruit in this young claret, with blackberry and chocolate character, medium body and medium finish. Dense and straightforward."
Wine Spectator, 87-90 pts.
