"The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Fay stands out for its delineation and nuance. Sweet floral notes meld into plums, menthol black cherries, violets and tar. With time in the glass, the wine fleshes out beautifully. Today the tannins are firm, but once they soften the fruit should begin to emerge more fully. There is plenty of vibrancy and energy in the 2010."

2011 Orin Swift Papillon

"Bright, ruby red in complexion, the wine bursts with a lively perfume of crushed boysenberry, spring flowers, creme de cassis, and a hint of toast. Upon entry, lush flavors of blackberry tart and ripe plum lead to a juicy mid-palate mix of currant, mocha and dark chocolate. Already well-integrated, polished tannins are present on the finish, which linger effortlessly with just the right amount of power and intensity."

2005 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

"Musky aromas of cassis, licorice, game, tobacco leaf and subtle brown spices. Velvety-sweet and deep, with hints of tobacco leaf, mint and herbs giving definition to the middle palate. Nicely bright but youthfully tight wine, finishing with broad tannins." Reviewed by Stephen Tanzer.

2010 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

"The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is shaping up to be another beauty. Violets, freshly cut flowers, mint, spice box and plums all jump from the glass in this vivid, beautifully delineated Cabernet. The sense of energy and drive are pure 2010. Today, the 2010 is super-young, but it is immensely promising. I can't wait to taste this in another year, but I imagine it will still be an infant at age ten. A tiny splash of Cabernet Franc adds complexity to the Cabernet Sauvignon."
