Size: 750ml
Type: Red Wine
Country: Italy
Region: Veneto

"Deep ruby. Red fruits, chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Rich and suave in the mouth, with ripe red fruit and chocolate flavors that are ample but lack a little complexity. Finishes smooth and moderately long. The word brolo is equivalent to the French clos (a walled vineyard); this wine is made from a special selection of the best grapes available, all native and mainly corvina."

2012 David Sterza Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso

"This drinks like a young Amarone but is priced like a Valpolicella red. Carefully aged in oak for 12 months, this is supple and soft, bursting with red fruit aromas and a long, spicy finish."

2010 Zenato Valpolicella Ripassa

"The 2010 Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Ripassa shows clean lines with cherry fruit and dark plum backed by pretty tones of savory spice and cured meat. 'Ripassa' was among the first 'Ripasso-style' wines made in this area and its fantasy name actually predates the denomination name. Bold darkness and ripe fruit flavors penetrate the finish."

2010 David Sterza Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

"Cherry flavors are well ripened, leading to some flavors of figs or dates. Some dark chocolate notes are present on the finish. Tannins are very strong but well-made and not aggressive at all. This Amarone is close to the perfection and can be aged for few years if you wish."
