Size: 750ml
Type: Red Wine
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Country: France
Region: Burgundy, Cote de Beaune

"Here the nose is distinctly more floral with notes of rose petals, violet and dried lavender that mixes with notes of plum, earth and a hint of underbrush. There is a lovely mouth feel to the velvety, intense, concentrated and powerful large-scaled flavors that brim with plenty of extract on the admirably long and energetic finish."

2010 Bouchard Pere Fils Beaune Greves Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus

"Bright medium red. Musky, sauvage aromas of red cherry, cherry skin, game and leather. Rich and full, offering considerable fat to its ripe flavors of redcurrant, musky herbs, smoke and game. Finishes with round, dusty tannins, a hint of menthol and very good length." -Stephen Tanzer

2010 Rapet Pere et Fils Corton Grand Cru

"A brooding nose of classic old school Corton aromas that are distinctly sauvage in character with plenty of warm earth, game, leather and hints of spice to the ripe dark berry fruit scents. The large-scaled big-bodied flavors possess a firmly structured and well-concentrated mid-palate that coat the palate with abundance dry extract, all wrapped in a seriously long finish."

2012 Bernard Dugat Py Pommard la Levriere Vieilles Vignes

"The 2012 Pommard La Levriere is one of the more savory wines in the range. Iron, dried flowers, smoke and tobacco all add complexity to a core of intense, dark-fleshed fruit. This is another huge, powerful wine that is likely to require considerable patience. In 2012 there are just 5 barrels of this juice rather than the more typical 9-11, illustrating just how challenging the vintage was in the Côte de Beaune."

Reviewed by: Antonio Galloni, Vinous - 90-92pts

"The 2012 Pommard Le Levrieres Vieilles Vignes comes from 82-year old vines that yielded just 5 barrels this year, of which 2 barrels are new and includes 50-60% whole cluster fruit. The wood is still a little present on the nose but underneath lies some lovely, floral tinged raspberry fruit laced with blackcurrant and creme de cassis. The palate is medium-bodied with good grip on the entry, well-judged acidity. This has fine grip, a bullish Pommard but with great depth and poise on the finish. This will outlast many a Pommard in 2012."
