Item #59100
Size: 750ml
Type: Red Wine
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Country: France
Region: Burgundy, Cote de Nuits

"Medium red. Tight but pure nose offers redcurrant, red cherry, minerals, flowers, licorice and menthol, plus a high note of orange zest. On the palate, terrific inner-mouth energy gives sharp definition to the intense flavors of red berries, spices and menthol. Finishes with serious, firm tannins and an impression of weightlessness. For a taut wine that's built for a graceful evolution in bottle, this is remarkably pliant today." -Stephen Tanzer

2010 Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux St Jacques

"The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux-Saint-Jacques boasts incredible depth, richness and sheer texture. It is impeccably layered from start to finish, with generous red fruit, licorice and spices, all of which take shape beautifully in the glass. The aromas and flavors build gracefully to the huge, multi-dimensional finish."

2010 Louis Jadot Latricieres Chambertin

"Endless streaks of minerality run through the 2010 Latricieres-Chambertin. Graphite, cassis and spices are woven together beautifully as this cool, introspective wine begins to open up in the glass. The Latricieres needs time in bottle to come together, but I don’t quite see the potential here of the best Grand Crus in the lineup. This is a subtle style best suited for readers who appreciate the more understated, at times even fleeting, side of Grand Cru Burgundy. The Latricieres is one of two 2010 Grand Crus made with 100% whole clusters. I can’t wait to see how this turns out in bottle."

2010 Louis Jadot Clos de la Roche

"The 2010 Clos de la Roche is dark, voluptuous and seductive. Black cherries, mint, spices and graphite flesh out on the mid-palate and finish. The Clos de la Roche boasts gorgeous inner sweetness and perfume, with big, yet fine, tannins that frame the fruit through to the finish. The style is rather immediate, but I don’t see anything wrong with that."
