"The 2002 Brut Avize Champ Gain is breathtakingly beautiful in the way it fleshes out in seemingly all directions. Layers of fruit blossom in the glass, fleshing out the wine’s broad-shouldered frame with considerable class and pure pedigree. Mineral notes play an important role as this vivid, delineated Champagne continues to grow in the glass. Additional time in bottle has done the Champ Gain wonders. This is fabulous wine to observe in the glass, as its upward trajectory seems to have virtually no limit. What a great showing!"

2000 Pol Roger Cuvee Sir Winston Churchill

"The first thing that is evident about the 2000 Brut Cuvee Sir Winston Churchill is its finesse and total silkiness. The 2000 is a rich, creamy and deeply expressive Winston Churchill. I don’t see the 2000 being an especially long-term ager, but it is wonderfully radiant and open today. Hints of pastry, spice, apricots and succulent ripe pears blossom on the expansive, broad-shouldered finish."

Armand de Brignac Brut

"Marvelously complex and full-bodied, its bouquet is both fresh and lively, with light floral notes. On the palate, our Brut Gold has a sumptuous, racy fruit character perfectly integrated with the wine’s subtle brioche accents. The Champagne’s texture is deliciously creamy, with great depth paired with a long, silky finish. Our Brut Gold is pressed from a perfectly balanced blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier wine."

2002 Salon

"The 2002 is a huge, dense wine loaded with fruit. All of the classic Salon citrus, slate and floral notes are present, but it is the wine's superb textural richness that stands out most. Even though I have not followed my own advice, I suggest readers to plan on cellaring the 2002 for a good number of years. Because of its density and depth, I expect the 2002 will develop into a fairly exotic, voluptuous Champagne, within the context of Salon, of course."
