"This displays an unusually dark – cassis and elderberry – fruit wreathed in bay laurel and smoky black tea. Broad, rich, and velvety, it nonetheless retains a welcome sense of levity, vivacity, and primary juiciness, finishing with next sip-inviting length. It offers considerable polish for the price and might well even gain in stature over the next several years."

2009 Maysara Pinot Noir Jamsheed McMinnville
"Fresh boysenberry and purple plum are garlanded with bitter-sweet flowers; tinged with brown spices; underlain with clean red meatiness; and suffused with saliva-liberating salinity in a Pinot of refined tannins and outstanding persistence."

2011 Adelsheim Pinot Noir
"With its broad array of origins and clones, this wine displays red aromas (candied cherry, pomegranate and raspberry) on the nose and the palate. In addition, one finds a light touch of brown spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, all-spice). True to our house style, it is elegantly textured with seamlessly integrated, silky, polished tannins. Pair it with salmon or ahi, veal or pork, poultry (think duck) or beef, or hearty vegetarian entrees"

2011 Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir
"We had many questions before the 2011 harvest, but in barrel, these wines have been a pleasure. Delicious, well-structured, well-balanced. On the nose and on the palate, it is very much a classic expression of our Dundee Hills property, though with perhaps a touch more black cherry and black fruits than usual. As with 2010, the acidity is bright, and overall there is nice structure and very good length. I have a feeling this wine will age exceptionally well, easily more than 10 years."
