2012 Clos Fourtet Saint Emilion (Futures)
Back to Products
"It offers an opaque dense purple color along with attractive blackberry, licorice, truffle and cassis fruit notes. It is full-bodied and dense with an authoritative mid-palate, sweet tannin and a layered mouthfeel that builds incrementally into a stunningly long finish. Precocious and charming already, it will drink better at an earlier age than the massive, prodigious 2009. Drink this killer St.-Emilion over the next 15+ years." -Robert Parker

"This has intense crushed plum, blackberry and black currant fruit flavors rolled together, along with hefty, briary grip and lots of smoldering charcoal notes. Dense and long, delivering power on a refined structure and showing terrific anise and spice accents through the finish. One for the cellar. This estate is on a roll right now. Best from 2016 through 2028."

2011 Chateau Beausejour Duffau Saint Emilion
Reviewed by: Wine Spectator - 93pts
"Another brilliant wine of great nobility and finesse, the 2011 Beausejour-Duffau reveals a saturated chalky minerality as well as plenty of blue and black fruits, and fabulous precision and purity. It possesses a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel and a distinctive/singular style only possessed by the greatest wines. Give it 4-5 years of cellaring and drink it over the following two decades. It promises to be one of the longest lived wines of the vintage. At 14.7% alcohol, this is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc."
