"A strong effort from Talbot, this sexy, medium to full-bodied, richly fruity 2012 exhibits lots of creme de cassis, licorice, roasted herb and spice box characteristics in an evolved yet elegant, round, lush style that was surprisingly seductive and disarming. This offering stood out as one of the stars of St.-Julien. Drink it over the next 12-15 years." -Robert Parker

2002 Chateau Lalande Borie Saint Julien

"Colorful wine, feeling just a mature cabernet sauvignon with hints of underbrush. The fruit is there, the fruity note also. In the mouth, I find the equilibrium values ??of winemaking Borie. In fact, the tannins do not interfere, making this wine enjoyable to drink now. Good but not sophisticated, yet it leaves a fruity aroma. A Saint-Julien with a forest that has not the class of wine on the river side."

2008 Chateau Lagrange Saint Julien

"Reveals an angular, austere personality along with medium to full-bodied, deep, concentrated fruit. An unusually backward and highly tannic 2008, it will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring and should keep for 20 years." Reviewed by Robert Parker.

2010 Chateau Gloria Saint Julien

"The 2010 Gloria is an ass-kicking, fabulous value once again from this estate, which would probably be classified if the 1855 hierarchy of the wines of the Medoc were ever done again. Abundant notes of cedar wood, fruitcake, flowers, creme de cassis and kirsch are all present in this full-bodied, opulent, dense, dark ruby/purple wine. It is slightly more restrained than the flamboyant 2009, but equal in quality. This is a juicy, well-proportioned, sensationally concentrated, super-ripe Gloria to drink over the next decades. Of course, it is a sleeper of the vintage, given the reasonable price it normally sells for." -Robert Parker
