"Deep purple, with a nose of subtle smoke, graphite, blueberry and black raspberry fruit as well as some spring flowers, in the mouth a touch of oak makes an appearance, but the wine is full-bodied, rich, inky and unctuously textured due to the high glycerin and alcohol that hits 14% plus. This beauty should drink well for up to two decades."-Robert Parker

2010 Chateau Gressier Grand Poujeaux Moulis en Medoc

"A spectacular wine made by the owners of nearby and better-known Chateau Chasse-Spleen, this is a seriously endowed, dense, full-bodied wine made from an equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Oodles of black fruits, licorice, truffle and new saddle leather are present as well as some toasty oak. Full-bodied, deep, pure and exceptionally long in the mouth, this is a major overachiever that should drink nicely for 10-15+ years." -Robert Parker

"Its deep ruby/purple color, notes of sweet black currants, incense, camphor, and spice box, and medium to full-bodied style are accompanied by a wine with excellent fruit intensity, purity, and length. It should drink well for 10-15 years. Good value." -Robert Parker

2010 Chateau La Tour Carnet Haut Medoc

"Probably La Tour Carnet’s best since their 2001, the 2010 La Tour Carnet exhibits wonderful ripeness, a dense ruby/purple color, notes of licorice, camphor and some toast as well as lots of black currant and blueberry fruit. It is medium to full-bodied, with attractive sweetness of tannin, good acidity, excellent delineation to its component parts, and a full-bodied, impressively long finish. This wine may close down somewhat, given the moderate tannins, but it seems relatively accessible despite being a 2010." -Robert Parker
