"The wine, which hits the palate with a dramatic minerality, comes across like a hypothetical blend of limestone liqueur intermixed with black and red fruits. With massive depth, richness, and body, this tannic 2003 should be forgotten for 4-5 years, then enjoyed over the next four decades. The integration of acidity, tannin, and wood is flawless, and the wine is incredibly pure, rich, and intense."

2010 Chateau La Confession Saint Emilion

"An absolutely stunning wine from the Janoueix family, this dense, full-bodied, wonderfully floral and blueberry/blackberry-scented wine shows some toasty vanillin, but then hits the palate with a full-bodied thunder and cascade of glycerin and fruit in its luscious personality. Captivating and seductive, thick, juicy, full-bodied and pure, this is a beautiful St.-Emilion fruit bomb to drink over the next 10-15 years." -Robert Parker

2008 Chateau Cheval Blanc Saint Emilion

"The 2008 Cheval Blanc (55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc) is a winner from this underrated, classic vintage. Notes of forest floor, Asian plum sauce, black currants, sweet cherries and spice are followed by a medium to full-bodied wine with deep fruit, admirable purity, and a long, textured finish. There is not a hard edge to this wine, and in all likelihood, it can be drunk now or cellared for two decades." Reviewed by Robert Parker.

2005 Chateau Angelus Saint Emilion

Limit 1 bottle per customer.
"This 7,000 case blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc will rival or perhaps eclipse vintages such as 2000, 1998, 1990, and 1989. Its dense purple color is followed by an extraordinary perfume of charcoal, espresso roast, blackberries, blueberries, and a hint of wood. In spite of its thick texture, terrific acidity, high tannins, and enormous intensity as well as richness, it is surprisingly approachable, but given how slowly the 1989 and 1990 have aged, I would recommend cellaring it for 8-10 years. It should keep for three decades. A brilliant wine!" Reviewed by Robert Parker.
