"One of the tiniest production as well as most seductive, opulent wines in all of Bordeaux, only 200 cases of the Croix de Labrie are made in most vintages. I was only able to taste the 2010 on one occasion and the aromatics revealed some oxidation, but the palate exploded with blue and black fruits intermixed with hints of coffee, chocolate and exotic Asian spices. Opulent, dense and super-concentrated, it should merit a mid-ninety point rating." -Robert Parker

2006 Chateau d'Armailhac Pauillac

"This impressive Pauillac is performing even better from bottle than it did from barrel. Made by the staff at Mouton Rothschild, it is a blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A dense ruby/purple color is followed by a bouquet of grilled meats, subtle herbs, coffee, black currants, and a hint of camphor. The sweetness of the tannins, full-bodied mouthfeel, and stunning length, all in gorgeous symmetry, suggest this is one of the finest d’Armailhacs yet made."

2006 Chateau Clinet

"Extremely backward, firm, and virile, this macho wine exhibits full-bodied power, a dense blackberry, smoky nose, huge tannins, but impressive stuffing and depth. This is not for the faint of heart, and also not for those who need immediate drinkability."-Robert Parker

2011 Chateau Pontet Canet Pauillac

"Proprietor Alfred Tesseron's 2011 Pontet-Canet is packaged in an engraved, heavy bottle, which only adds to the attractiveness of this beauty. A dense purple color is accompanied by notes of forest floor, acacia flowers and creme de cassis in this full, rich, and unequivocally classic Pauillac. With soft but noticeable tannins as well as a complete, full-bodied mouthfeel, this 2011 will benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring, and should age effortlessly for 15-20 years. Bravo!." -Robert Parker, Jr.
