"Over forty years ago, Charlie and Lorna Wagner embarked on an incredible journey with their son Chuck - starting a family winery in the center of Napa Valley. Now in its third generation, Caymus continues to produce world class Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine exemplifies our style of Cabernet out of a great vintage—deep color, rich, concentrated and balanced. 2012 celebrates 40 years of producing our pride and joy, Caymus Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon." - Chuck Wagner, Owner/Winemaker

2012 Frog's Leap Rutherford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

"This Cabernet Sauvignon has all the hallmarks of the legendary Cabernets of Rutherford: the deep, cassis-currant aromas, the classic notes of ‘Rutherford Dust,’ and the earthen flavors of cedar and black olive. The mouthfeel is plush across the palate with velvety tannins, yet balanced by bright acidy and firm structure that hints at promising years to come."

2011 Groth Cabernet Sauvignon

"Bright ruby-red. Slightly medicinal aromas of cassis, blackberry, licorice and herbs. Supple, sweet and easygoing, with dark berry and dark chocolate flavors dominating. My enthusiasm was muted by slightly green, dusty tannins and a touch of bitterness on the back." - Stephen Tanzer

2011 O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain

"O'Shaughnessy's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is beautiful. The tannins are remarkably polished and sophisticated for a Howell Mountain Cabernet. Sweet red berries, tobacco, licorice and cedar are all woven into a silky, refined finish. There is plenty of Howell Mountain salinity in the glass, but not quite the power and energy that are typical of this wine, or the best Howell Mountain Cabernets in this vintage. Overall, the 2011 is a bit on the lighter side of things, but it is quite pretty in its own way."
