"Cranberry, sour cherry, rhubarb and raspberry in the nose with hints of minerality. The nose smells incredibly fresh and inviting like a basket of just picked cherries on a spring day. A very slight herbal character of tomato leaf and stems hidden under a just noticeable layer of crimini mushroom. The wine has medium weight with a bright vein of acidity, vibrant red fruit and subtle minerality and mushroom. Do I dare say it reminds me somewhat of a bake sale in Humboldt County? No, better strike that – but it’s there! This is delicious, with laser like precision and lean, bright cherry, raspberry and cranberry fruit, finishing with medium complexity. Very similar to a classic village Nuits St Georges. With all the red fruit and bright acidity, this wine would pair well with pork and cranberry, certainly appropriate on the Thanksgiving table, and it should be marvelous with salmon, snapper or chicken."
