"The blend of course is Beringer’s beautiful 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve, always proving that the sum is better than the component parts. A dark ruby/purple color is accompanied by a big, sweet nose of smoked meats, black currant jam, chocolate, pain grille, and espresso roast. Rich, full-bodied, and deep, with silky tannin and loads of length and concentration, it should drink well for 15-20 years." Reviewed by Robert Parker December 2006.

2011 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five

"A revelation, it is hard to believe the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon One Point Five (95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot) came from a challenging vintage of cool weather and rainy periods. It boasts an inky/purple color along with sweet cassis and mulberry fruit intermixed with notions of high quality toast and spring flowers. The 2011 is an outstanding success for the vintage."

2005 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

"Musky aromas of cassis, licorice, game, tobacco leaf and subtle brown spices. Velvety-sweet and deep, with hints of tobacco leaf, mint and herbs giving definition to the middle palate. Nicely bright but youthfully tight wine, finishing with broad tannins." Reviewed by Stephen Tanzer.

2010 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

"The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is shaping up to be another beauty. Violets, freshly cut flowers, mint, spice box and plums all jump from the glass in this vivid, beautifully delineated Cabernet. The sense of energy and drive are pure 2010. Today, the 2010 is super-young, but it is immensely promising. I can't wait to taste this in another year, but I imagine it will still be an infant at age ten. A tiny splash of Cabernet Franc adds complexity to the Cabernet Sauvignon."
