"The 2006 Guidaccio is another compelling wine from this great Tuscan vintage. Today the 2006 is very youthful and firm, but over time the inner sweetness of the dark fruit gradually appears. Clean, mineral notes confer elements of vibrancy and energy that bode very well for the future."

"Pungent bouquet evokes cherry compote, cassis, pipe tobacco and rose, with notes of vanilla and mocha gaining strength with air. Deeply pitched dark fruit flavors show impressive vivacity and pick up oak spice and herb character on the back half. Dusty tannins add shape to the long, spicy, appealingly sweet finish. Drinks easily now but this has the depth and balance to reward patience."

"Ruby-red. Raspberry and cherry aromas are complicated by graphite, tobacco and anise. Sweet red and dark berry flavors possess liqueur-like depth but are lithe and incisive, with impressive mineral lift on the back end. Juicy, finely etched red fruits dominate the long, sappy finish. A smoky quality arrived with air, adding further dimension and depth."
