"A faint lactic note on the nose, along with grapefruit, flowers and spearmint. Good cut to its grapefruit and mineral flavors. Finishes fresh and firm."

"With a somewhat fresher and very red pinot-infused nose that is followed by detailed, intense and firm medium-bodied flavors that possess good energy and punch on the mouth coating and somewhat linear finish. I like this as it has good development potential as well as a bit more mid-palate flesh though it is not a classic young Beaune as the mouth feel is somewhat stern."

"Aromas of menthol, crushed stone and toasted baguette. At once thick and penetrating, with lovely acidity accentuating the wine's intensity. Not a particularly fruity style but finishes dense, dusty and quite long. A very impressive village wine." -Stephen Tanzer

"Aromas of apple, lime and ginger. A step up in intensity and minerality from the premier crus; quite ripe and pliant but rather unforthcoming. "Adark, powerful wine laced with dark fruit, licorice, spices, earthiness and a vein of oak. Some elements of rusticity peek through, but this remains a compelling, intense wine with plenty of potential to improve in bottle." 88-90 pts.

"Expressive aromas of dark fruits, coffee and chocolate. Sweet, very ripe and pliant, with enticing inner-mouth aromatic character. Finishes with ripe tannins and lingering sweetness. This will make a good restaurant wine but should also last well. This was my favorite of the Jadot village wines, although the Nuits-Saint-Georges should turn out well, especially if Lardiere declassifies some premier cru juice into it, as he expects to do."-Stephen Tanzer.

"A beguiling bouquet redolent of licorice, smoke, spice and graphite leads to expressive fruit as the 2010 Puligny-Montrachet opens up in the glass. The fruit is a bit richer, deeper and more complex than in the Chassagne villages, with layers of yellow peach and nectarine that are woven into the enveloping finish."

"The 2010 Bourgogne Tonnerre Sagara bursts from the glass with an exotic melange of smoke, crushed rocks, slate and rich, tropical fruit. Stylistically, this comes across as a slightly more refined version of Petit Chablis. This is a delicious wine for the money and a big-time over- achiever."

"Bright, pale yellow. Ripe aroma of crystallized lemon peel lifted by high notes of lavender and violet. Round, ripe and rich, with a fine-grained texture to the flavors of citrus fruit, white peach and flowers. A very suave, silky village wine with good lift and verve. Nothing exotic or nutty about this Meursault, which is from estate fruit. Finishes with good chewy extract."
