2010 Chateau de Chambrun Lalande de Pomerol
-Wine Spectator, 89 to 92 pts.
"Chateau Chambrun is emerging as a worthy competitor to what is generally considered to be the finest wine of the appellation, La Fleur de Bouard. Cropped at 21 hectoliters per hectare, and made from a final blend of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, the 2010 is a real blockbuster. Its dense purple color is followed by a big, sweet nose of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries and cassis. Aromatic, rich, unctuously textured and thick, it achieved 14.5% natural alcohol and should drink nicely for 7-8 years." -Robert Parker
