"Expressive aromas of orange, mirabelle and wild herbs. Very expressive, sweet and full (this is 13.7% alcohol), with flavors of very ripe peach, vanilla cream, nuts and honey. "The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres jumps from the glass with hints of white flowers, honey, spices and yellow stone fruits. It combines the energy of the Pucelles with the softer, more generous expression of the Champ Gain, one of the Puligny bottlings in Leflaive-s negociant line."

"The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Clavoillons fleshes out beautifully in the glass with layers of expressive, textured fruit. This is one of the more open, forward wines in the lineup. It should drink nicely pretty much upon release. Yellow stone fruits, flowers and a hint of spice wraps around the soft, enveloping finish, where the minerality of the vintage emerges with pretty, finely-knit nuances."

"Nose dominated by lime, crushed stone and steely minerality. Densely packed and almost painfully dry, with taut, penetrating citrus and mineral flavors showing more energy than flesh today. This ungiving grand cru has plenty of depth and flavor intensity but is an infant today. The stony, austere finish is like touching a live wire. "The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Pucelles is a totally complete wine. It brings together the expressive bouquet and minerality of Combettes with some of the expressive fruit of the Folatieres. Vivid and multi-dimensional in the glass, the Pucelles wraps around the palate with serious intensity. Citrus, white flowers and green pears linger on the highly nuanced, refined finish. Today, though, the 2010 is incredibly tight. Its pedigree is impossible to miss. Leflaive’s Pucelles is easily one of the highlights of the vintage."

Then stubbornly backward in the mouth, with an appley malic element and strong CO2 giving this wine a distinctly hermetic quality.
