"The 2010 Chablis Les Clos is all about understatement and balance. White floral notes meld into white stone fruit in this utterly gracious Chablis. Clos can at times be fleeting and elusive, and there is certainly some of that in the 2010. Still, it is impossible to miss the wine’s textural finesse and sheer overall balance. I will not be surprised if the 2010 continues to get better in bottle."

"More restrained than usual, with more minerality and acidity, which is in keeping with the vintage character. While still relatively exotic, everything is more buttoned down. However, the overall impression is of a full-bodied, powerful, honeyed white wine with superb depth, richness, and potential complexity. This beauty should be at its peak between 2010 and 2015." "This wine has closed down since I saw it prior to bottling. A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon from one of the great estates in Pessac-Leognan, the wine has notes of white currants, melon, and flint/crushed rock with a delicate hit of orange and lemon zest. Give it another 4-5 years of cellaring and drink it over the following three decades."-Robert Parker

"Intense, rich and remarkably focused, this offers stunning purity of fruit, such as Jonagold apple and Cavaillon melon, along with enticing heather honey, roasted macadamia nut, orange blossom and dried persimmon notes, all laid over a dense but brilliantly defined palate. The nearly endless finish of beeswax and buttered brioche is absolutely fantastic. Drink now or hold for a decade. Perhaps the best white produced here to date."

Lush but penetrating citrus and pit fruit flavors boast remarkable depth and show unlikely elegance, with zesty citrus notes adding lift and clarity to the dense fruit. Nervy lime and pear notes resonate on the ridiculously long finish, which eventually leaves traces of lime zest, singed orange and honey behind. Offers an uncanny blend of richness and vivacity; this will have no problem outliving anybody reading this review but it's also pretty remarkable to drink now."

Then stubbornly backward in the mouth, with an appley malic element and strong CO2 giving this wine a distinctly hermetic quality. "The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Pucelles is a totally complete wine. It brings together the expressive bouquet and minerality of Combettes with some of the expressive fruit of the Folatieres. Vivid and multi-dimensional in the glass, the Pucelles wraps around the palate with serious intensity. Citrus, white flowers and green pears linger on the highly nuanced, refined finish. Today, though, the 2010 is incredibly tight. Its pedigree is impossible to miss. Leflaive’s Pucelles is easily one of the highlights of the vintage."
