"This wine is very vibrant and youthful in color, with a nose of violet, red plum, rasberry, licorice, and spice. On the palate, a splash of more intense red cherries washes in, along with an edge of black tea, tobacco, mint, and a finish that is long with blackberries. The acidity is fresh, and the tannins are unified and supporting. Structurally, this is an elegant, food-friendly Cabernet Sauvignon, middle-weight, deep, and intense, with an old-world expression."

"Our 2007 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a profound, fruit-driven wine from a great California vintage. With a dark ruby color and a purple edge, it offers an inviting nose of ripe black plum, blackberry, baking spices and soy sauce. On the palate, this Cabernet is rich and full, with flavors reminiscent of a berry cobbler. Its long, fruity finish and fine-grained tannins are a testament to exquisite ripeness at moderate alcohol. With proper cellaring, this wine should be deliciously drinkable through 2031."
