"The 2008 Guidaccio is Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The bouquet is classic Sangiovese, while the French varieties add mid-palate presence and depth as this gorgeous red opens up in the glass. Firm yet well-integrated tannins support layers of menthol, leather, licorice and spices on the inviting finish. In its best vintages Guidaccio can challenge wines that cost twice as much, and also has the pedigree to develop beautifully in bottle. The blend is 50% Sangiovese, followed by 25-30% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot."
