A semi-sweet riesling from the Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin.

"Smoky, herb-accented aromas of cherry and redcurrant. Sappy and broad, with a supple texture to the bitter cherry and red fruit preserve flavors. Finishes lush and weighty, with notes of cherry pit and licorice. Quite rich but there's good back-end bite to this wine."

"A powerful nose of guava, lime zest and ripe pear braced by honeysuckle and orange blossoms. A juicy palate with opulent passion-fruit, following through from the nose and finishing off with tart grapefruit characteristics. The refreshing acidity is perfectly counteracted by a creamy mid palate and subtle oak-derived spice. The 2011 vintage is a more fruit-driven style that is fresher & drier comparing to the 2010 vintage. A delightfully accessible wine that is mouth-wateringly moreish."

"Aged with a combination of both French and American oak, our Merlot develops graceful fruit flavors in the cellar, complemented by subtle shadings of vanilla and toast from the oak. At the completion of the aging process, this Merlot was carefully blended with 8% Cabernet Sauvignon for added depth and structure, as well as 8% Zinfandel, which adds a spicy note on the palate. Approachable now, Vampire Merlot is perfectly balanced for additional bottle aging."
