"Slightly closed on the nose, with lichee and mango making a first impression. Dense and unctuous on the palate, but with delicate underlying acidity and chalky minerality providing the sauvignon fruit with the proper focus. Somewhat monolithic sweet papaya and wild herb flavors linger on the finish. This wine is essentially Riffault's generic Sancerre, albeit with a nickname, and accounts for half of the total production. Given that fact, this is a fine effort."
