"The 2011 Touriga Nacional / Cabernet Sauvignon Follies is a 70-30 blend of Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak (25% first use; 35% second use and 40% third use) for approximately 1 year. It comes in at 14% alcohol. There is not necessarily a lot of depth here, but in other respects it is pretty fine with an amazingly fresh feel to it. Elegant and lifted, this has a lingering and flavorful finish with some hints of complexity. Its demeanor makes it reasonably transparent, too, even with a few oaky nuances. The moderate tannins tighten just a bit with air, but it comes around well. It should hold a few years nicely, but it is approachable now."
