"Delicate, biscuity, sugar cookie batter aromas start the experience; another six minutes bring forward scents of ripe yellow fruit, gum, confectioner’s sugar and a distant hint of honey. Palate entry features the corn component in its finest grainy sweet state; by midpalate, flavors include caramel corn, cocoa butter, oak resin and honey. Finishes sinewy smooth in the throat." 85-89 pts.

For the money, Old Charter 8 is a GREAT bourbon. I use it more than Jack Daniels, Makers Mark and YES even the higher-priced brands like Knob Creek and Elijah Craig.
Old Charter used to come in 8 year old, 10 year old and Proprietor's Reserve. The 10 is excellent as well, but for the money, Old Charter 8 is flavorful and if you like bourbon Manhattans - use Old Charter 8 with Carpano Antique vermouth and you have a GREAT cocktail. I make these at my bar for my friends and they always come back for more.
