On the nose, intense peat smoke, briny salt water, iodine, seaweed, vegetal properties, and sweet vanilla. On the palate, wonderfully devastating phenolic peat smoke, iodine, salt water, black pepper, spice, vanilla extract, and more peat at the end. Finishes with tongue-numbing smokiness, peat with salt water and charred wood, and a sweet, syrupy note at the end.

This is a remarkable Islay single malt! The flavor is intense and wonderful. This is probably the most genuine form of Laphroaig…the way it was meant to be. I do not recommend following the directions on the bottle for adding water. Add very small…

Color: dark amber. Nose: oil, peat, iodine, seaweed. Flavor: takes you on a rollercoaster ride of fruits and spices, tart cherries, vanilla, nutmeg.............peaty monster that packs a punch (58.6% ABV = 117.2 proof). I STRONGLY recommend you give this bottle a spin. 92/100
