I don't understand the appeal of Red Label when there are better inexpensive blends out there. RL would be at the bottom of my list when discussing blends in the same price range - Dewars White Label, Ballantine's Finest, or my preference, Famous Grouse. I would argue all of the Walker's offerings are overpriced except for Black Label, but Red Label just isn't good, regardless of price.
An excellent value for the flavor and smoothness. Johnnie Walker Red Label is a favorite at my house. With 100% natural mixers, this product is super delicious and never lasts long. Does not lead to "crazy" drunkenness as most products do.
80 proof - Color: when I’m dehydrated and I go potty - Nose: sweet, vanilla, almonds. gum. paper. thinner. - Taste: bile. sugary grain. nail polish remover. sour nuts. watery candy. soap. - Finish: stingy treacle. people say it is for mixing only. thats just a cop out. the nose isnt terrible. 28/100
Just like with Johnnie Blue, I like the sweetness because this is really supposed to be mixed with something. I think for the price you get a nice bottle for mixing.
