"Smells of smoky, burnt nectarine, apricot and buttery scents that are toasty, nutty and heavenly. Entry is chewy, viscous, concentrated and intensely honeyed; the midpalate is waxy, mildly spicy, jammy, nutty and utterly decadent. Finishes with panache and grace." Best Buy.

Love the taste of this one!

Hints of a white wine and honey. The taste of pastry lingers on the tongue. Crisp with a bit of orange peel and apple/pear/apricots. It's different from sherry aged scotches. Because of the French sauturnes, this is where the honey/wine taste comes from. I Really like the finish of pears and pastries. I agree that it's decadent.

Honey Nodes
Reviewed by: IndigoIce | February 22, 2016

What makes me enjoy this the most is the honey nodes and hint of fruit within it. It is a lot smoother than the majority of Glenmorangie. Similar to sherry cask in terms of smoothness. I think it is a good value as well. If you are looking for something a little better with more aging but not terribly more expensive, try the Glenmorangie 18; less than $150 and a flavorful and distinct profile.

Best of the Glenmorangie range

Wonderful expression from Glenmorangie, and it's my favorite (I've had the 10 yr Original, Lasanta, Quinta Ruban, Finealta, and Astar)...This is a 'sweeter' whisky on the palate with powdered sugar, vanilla, citrus, and a faint hint of nutmeg...A great dram indeed!

Glenmorangie The Nectar D'or
Reviewed by: "Texacer" from Reddit.com/r/scotch | August 02, 2013

- Color: light bronze - Nose: white wine, touch sour, sweet floral paper. perfumed olive oil - Taste: sweet and sour grapes. a bit bitter fruit rind. salty tang and dry seaweed. sugary nectar lemony honey. - Finish: medium long fruit not awesome. not terrible tad unbalanced. it has that distinct Glenmorangie light malt to it that they get from those tall stills. I enjoyed it for the most part but I'm glad I got a sample of it instead of buying a full bottle. Sauternes finished cask 79/100
