"The generous aroma emits powerful scents of honey, oloroso Sherry and dark toffee; aeration stimulates additional scents of nougat, roasted peanuts, sautéed butter and very sharp cheddar. The palate entry finds flavors of sugar beet, candy bar, maple and oak; at midpalate the taste expands to include marzipan and brandied cherries. Finishes beautifully, if a bit tight and suddenly reined-in." 90-95 pts.

Taste - Enters on honey and vanilla, then getting grape, dried fruits, ginger, allspice, a bit of juniper, and pepper on the development. Finish is quite nice - the grape and honey keeps developing until it turns in to kind of a lemony citrus note.
