"Opening aroma is assertive, dry, with peppery scents of barley husk, grainy oil and cracked wheat wafer; seven more minutes bring out a mildly sweeter, slightly vanilla bean, brown rice-like side. Palate entry is pleasantly prickly, textured and moderately sweet; at midpalate, the taste profile turns stunningly sappy and resin-like. Finishes dry to off-dry and keenly resiny."

My Favorite Single Malt Scotch!!

Light flavor with no burn going down. Wonderful taste. Very easy to drink. I only drink it neat, especially when paired with a fine cigar. A premium Scotch with a middle of the road price. Fabulous!

Just average drinker of scotch, and as the average joe, I really like this one. It is smooth, yes it does not wow, but as a good once a night cap drink this one works well.

Pure Nectar!
Reviewed by: Whiskycat | January 17, 2015

On the nose, light, creamy frosting, vanilla, honey, and very light floral notes. On the palate, clover honey, candle wax, slight citrus (lemon), baking spice, and the slightest wisps of smoke. Finishes short but sweet, with vanilla and slight smoke, like blown-out birthday candles. This is really something special. I typically do not enjoy light whiskies, but this one is a rare exception, in that it asserts itself in a way that others do not. It has a superb nose, and the taste did not belie the nose. In fact, the taste gave me all the notes of the nose,…

- Color: pale ale - Nose: soft honey and dandelions, mineral water and a wisp of light smoke - Taste: watery white wine, vanilla yogurt, silky maltiness, buttered frosting - Finish: tries to be "the gentle spirit" as it says on the bottle, theres a mild spice and then kind of fizzles out fast. well, I've had this bottle for a while and it has never really wowed me. I can see what it tries to be and to me it fails. I give it credit for being 43% alc/vol and aged 15 years but in the end it is…
