"Rich, amber color. Malty, caramel aromas have a sour cream pastry edge. A round, rich entry leads to an off-dry medium-to full-bodied palate with sweet toffee, brown spices, leather, and robust exotic peppercorns. Finishes with a long sherried fade of caramel, pepper, and salty roasted nuts."

Glenmorangie The Lasanta

"Stately aroma reminds me of butter- cream candies; further air contact reveals deeper scents of melon, white raisins, dried yellow plums and fudge. Entry is honey-sweet, ripe and fruity (dried yellow fruits, banana, pineapple, pear); midpalate is long, satiny, honeyed, eggy, fruity and balanced. Concludes on notes of Sherry, apricot, white raisins and light toffee." 90-95 pts.

Glenmorangie The Nectar D'or

"Smells of smoky, burnt nectarine, apricot and buttery scents that are toasty, nutty and heavenly. Entry is chewy, viscous, concentrated and intensely honeyed; the midpalate is waxy, mildly spicy, jammy, nutty and utterly decadent. Finishes with panache and grace." Best Buy. 96-100 pts.

Nose: Lots of wood with citrus (orange and tangerine), hints of spice, vanilla and nutmeg. Palate: Dark wood, hints of pipe tobacco, orange marmalade, and baking spice notes. Finish: Smoked paper, dried fruit, oak wood, with vanilla. Overall, a rather complex dram. Wood pervades, but there are deep spice flavors under the orange/tangerine foreground. An excellent after-dinner malt.

80 proof, - Color: dark red rum (colored) - Nose: chewy candied raisins. Malted roses. Tobacco sugar - Taste: again, chewy candied raisins, aged raisins at that. And malted honey and dried fruit - Finish: low and slow not terrible but reeks of sugar. Mostly the candied raisin taste. I like candy raisins and all, but not in my whisky. 79/100
