Boomsma Genever Oude
The Dutch will tell you that English gin is a variation of their native Genever. Drinks like a gin, but with less juniper character and a more pronounced malt backbone and rye undertones. Oude means "old", aged a little under a year in oak, and that character shows.

Is it a gin, an aquavit, or a vodka? The English most likely made their gin as a variation of Dutch Genever. A hint of the juniper character of London gin, but with a malt backbone and slight rye undertones. Jonge means "young"; unaged and bright.
