“Yellowish golden color. Faint dry caramel and toasty oak with a hint of peat. Quick and light on the attack with pale malt grain, powdered sugar sweetness, and a trace of grassy peat. Finishes quickly with a toffee-like glow. Very light, yet drinkable.”

"The perfect nose to experience blindfolded (how else...?) as the depth of the fruit and grain - and their happy intermingling - is astonishing. A few under-ripe gooseberries here. Light, graceful arrival with the early emphasis on a Speyside malt theme before some grain and oak kicks in. Pretty long with touches of cocoa though the fresh malt lingers. A high quality blend that doesn't stint on the malt. The nose, in particular, is sublime.

“Pale amber-gold color. Light heather and peat in the nose. A brisk attack leads to a light-bodied palate with modest sweetness in the malt and balanced layers of peat and oak spice. Finishes with a breath of ocean spray, powdered sugar, and heather.”

A beautiful little aperitif, not overly sweet, with intense, clean orange zest notes on the nose and on the palate. Quite elegant.
