Distilled on 4/10/1992. Bottled on 8/9/2011. Hogshead cask number 48480. 46%abv.

"Reddish mahogany color. Sweet spicy herbs, wet zoo animal, and oily ox leather aromas follow through to a sweet, winey medium-bodied palate with jumbled spices and herbs, wet fur, charred barrel water, and sandalwood flavors. Finishes with a sugary, astringent, pink peppercorn fade and scorched spices. A curious blend of sweet spice and barnyard flavors, try with goat cheese."

"Smells of tropical fruits, especially guava, pineapple and banana. Entry is chalky, pleasantly ripe and viscous in texture; midpalate is earthy, floral (since this is Moscato, where has the floweriness been up to this point?), stony and off dry. Finishes minerally and drier than the midpalate." 90-95 pts.

"The entry is sweet, full-textured, nutty and alluringly chocolate-orange tasting; the chocolate and orange tastes continue at the midpalate. The finish is syrupy, velvety rich, and sweet. The chocolate definition is better than that of the orange." 85-89 pts.
