A rare mezcal produced from wild, mountain grown Maguey Agave in Oaxaca state. Much fruit on the nose, Tobala has a massive mouthfeel. Look for notes of cinnamon and mango as this spirit finishes in time marked by minutes, not seconds.

Distilled on 11/16/1992, and bottled 7/5/2011. Matured in a Hogshead. Cask #3329. 58.0%abv. Fat, sweet and oily on the palate. The slight confectioner's sugar is balanced with great spice that carries through on the LONG finish. This Glenlossie is another "bang for your buck" pick.

"The initial aroma is sweetish, winey and oaky; aeration allows the aroma to expand to include marzipan, treacle, molasses, honey, vanilla bean, cinnamon and cocoa butter. The palate entry is sweet, creamy and assertive; at midpalate the flavor becomes intensely nutty, buttery and bacon fat-like, with the beginnings of rancio.
