"Rich black licorice, white pepper, spice, and meringue aromas follow through on a soft, supple entry to a dryish medium-to-full body with a lots of dried hay, wet stone, and crushed anise layers. Finishes with a long, hot, anise and drying wormwood tea-like fade. A pure, dry and precise absinthe. Tasted louched as an absinthe cocktail: Milky white pearl color with a blue cast. Nutty and herbal wormwood notes mesh on the nose with the anise. The palate smoothes out and becomes more even and integrated. Finishes with a touch of mint and metal ore in addition to anise and wormwood. A rich, balanced, and sophisticated cocktail."

"Brilliant peridot color. Pungent medicinal herb, melon rind, bitter lemon peel, cinnamon bark, and spicy meringue aromas follow through on a brisk, lively entry to a mildly sweet medium-full body with wintermint, honey, camphor, and clove accents. Finishes with a long, mint leaf and aniseed husk fade. Tasted louched as an absinthe cocktail: Round, balanced with great interplay of mint, spice, herb, citrus, dried flowers and milder bitter artemesia pontica notes. Very refreshing as an aperitif or digestif; would make a brilliant introduction to absinthe."

Our handcrafted Absinthe Verte is prepared following the traditions of European master distillers of the 19th Century. We start with imported Chilean Pisco, placing it in our small 150 liter copper potstill, carefully adding the traditional Absinthe Verte herbs: Anise, Grande Wormwood, and Sweet Fennel, together with a number of proprietary botanicals.
