New to the Chicago area, Eel River Brewery encourages you to Be Natural – Drink Naked. Located in Humboldt County's historic redwood forest and about nine miles from the Pacific ocean in northwest California, Eel River Brewery resides in Fortuna, California. Eel River Brewery is the first ever USDA certified organic brewery, and their beers can now be found at your local Binny's. The biomass powered brewery will burn anything from wood chips to their customers grass clippings to supply their brewery with power. The Eel River portfolio consists of seven beers:

Organic India Pale Ale, 7% ABV

With the hop lover in mind.

$10.99, 6 pack bottles

Organic Acai Berry Wheat, 4.0% ABV

Brewed with acai berries from Brazil.

$5.99, 22oz bottles

Organic Porter, 6.3% ABV

A deep, rich organic porter.

$10.99, 6 pack bottles

Organic Amber Ale, 4.8% ABV

A taste of pure goodness.

$10.99, 6 pack bottles

Organic California Blonde Ale, 5.62% ABV

A true California Blonde.

$10.99, 6 pack bottles

Organic Triple Exultation, 9.7% ABV

The Ozzy Osbourne of Old Ales.

$6.99, 22oz bottles

Organic Raven's Eye Imperial Stout, 9.5% ABV

The stout that made Russian winter warm.

$6.99, 22oz bottles

I have experienced some other organic beers that I have barely been able to stomach, but the Eel River beer lineup looks promising. Besides being the inaugural organic beers, they may just be the foremost. A perfect time for us beer lovers to try the Eel River beers is from April 1st to April 7th, when the Eel River six packs will be on sale at Binny's for $8.99 apiece, and the 22oz bottles will have a dollar shaved off of each. We'd love to hear your experiences with not just the Eel River beers, but with any other organic beer. Also feel free to let us know if you took Eel River's advice to Be Natural – Drink Naked.
